Biolyth Technology

The future of aquaculture needs bold solutions. At Biolyth, we’re building genetic tools to help fish grow faster, use less feed, and thrive in a changing world—because feeding the planet shouldn’t come at the ocean’s expense.

Our work bridges science and sustainability, designing smarter ways to make aquaculture more efficient, scalable, and resilient. We’re just getting started—and we’re inviting you to be part of it.

Our Mission

At Biolyth, we’re developing next-generation genetic tools to make fish farming more efficient, sustainable, and scalable. Our goal is to unlock growth pathways that help fish thrive reducing feed costs, speeding up development, and easing the pressure aquaculture puts on wild ecosystems.

Our work is designed to adapt across key species like tilapia, barramundi, and milkfish, with the long-term vision of supporting conservation hatcheries and food systems around the world.

Current Research

At Biolyth, we’re focused on unlocking the genetic potential of aquaculture species. Our current research explores how targeted gene overexpression in zebrafish can drive faster growth and greater resilience—traits that could transform the future of fish farming.

We’re testing muscle-specific genetic constructs to safely boost growth without unintended side effects, laying the groundwork for a new generation of high-performance broodstock. This is the first step in building a platform that could help aquaculture operations produce more fish with fewer resources—feeding a growing planet while protecting ocean ecosystems.
